Our pharmacist Katie Appel is originally from McClave, and she has continued to live in Lamar since 2007. For years she heard requests to open a pharmacy in Lamar. In 2017 we were able to do just that - bringing a choice in pharmacy care that hasn't existed for decades. Because of this, we take being your pharmacy seriously. We are proud to be your locally owned independent pharmacy!

Dr. Katie Appel
Originally from McClave, Katie is no stranger to Southeast CO. After graduating from the Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Pharmacy, Katie started working at a grocery store pharmacy in Lamar.
Frustrated with the level of care she could provide, she took a job at Val-U-Med Pharmacy in Las Animas, where she would become a part-owner. Soon, she would jump at the chance to open Willow Creek Pharmacy and return to Lamar.
